What is your teaching philosophy? This is probably the most important question to ask any tutor before you begin. There are many tutors who are knowledgeable and have experience, but just knowing the subject is very different than actually teaching the subject. Roni strives to teach and not just show. This means understanding every student individually and taioring lessons to their strenghts and weaknesses. There is no one size fits all approach. Our lessons are completely one-on-one because that is the best way to learn. Enthusiam is contangious. Roni loves what he does and tutors because he enjoys helping his students succeed. There is no better satisfaction than seeing that "A-ha!" moment when a student finally understands something that they have been struggling with. Roni thouroughly believe that Math and Science can be fun. It's what guides the universe all around us! Practice makes perfect. Our lessons are geared towards understanding concepts and practice, practice, practice. We give plenty of assignments for students to work on at their own time. We maintain a private archive of practice problems, worksheets, and practive exams that every student has access to. After every lesson, we assign homework to drive home the concepts from class. Sometimes our students even reach out to us during the week for more work! (And of course we gladly comply!) Failure breeds success. It is okay to fail. It is okay to get questions wrong. It is okay to struggle with a concept. The only way to succeed is to fail and, most importantly, to understand why you got something wrong. That's why we are here! It is better to get something wrong now (and understand why you got it wrong) than during the actual test.

How do I start? When you are ready to start feel free to reach out to me through phone, text, or e-mail. I insist that I personally speak with every student or parent to get an idea about what their goals are and what they hope to achieve. I also want to learn more about the student before I begin. Any past practice exams or test scores would be very helpful. As always there is no commitment neccessary. I understand that its important for a student to mesh well with his or her tutor. If my teaching style or methods do not work well with the student, there is absolutely no worries about moving on. If the student's goals are too broad or too ambitious for a timeframe, I will let the the student know right away.

How are lessons being conducted during the pandemic?Safety is our number one priority. As a result all lessons are currently conducted virtually. Lessons are conducted through Zoom. All assignments are uploaded onto a shared site that students have access to. If there is another preferred virtual interface for the student, please let me know during our initial consultation. Currently, all payments are being accepted through Venmo and due immediately after each lesson. When it is safe to do so and permitted by current regulations, we will reintroduce in person lessons. These will be conducted at the student's home or at a public meeting space. As always, all lesson are one-on-one.
